Aspia Group is the Nordic leader in tech-driven services for accounting, payroll, tax, and advisory. Our mission is to make business processes smarter, simpler, and more efficient through automation and AI-driven innovation. Do you want to be part of a small team shaping the future of AI-driven business automation and driving innovation that transforms an entire industry?
With over 3,100 employees in six countries, Aspia support more than 39,000 clients, ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations. Our mission is to simplify complex business processes through digital innovation and automation, enabling our clients to focus on
what they do best.
To push the boundaries of business processes and set new industry standards, we are launching Aspia AI Next. This agile innovation hub will explore high-impact AI opportunities, develop prototypes, and assess investment potential. This initiative is a strategic priority with board-level
attention and a direct link to both the Group CIO and Group COO. If you are passionate about identifying and validating cutting-edge AI technologies and want to contribute to the next technological leap, this is the role for you!
About the role
As an AI Engineer in Aspia’s newly formed AI Next team, you will sit at the centre of the company’s innovation engine. Operating independently from the day-to-day Intelligent Automation organisation, AI Next’s mission is to scout, test and validate the next wave of transformative technologies—especially generative AI and advanced automation.
Your focus is to turn bold ideas into proven concepts that showcase tangible value for Aspia’s internal processes and for client-facing services such as payroll, accounting and tax advisory. Once a prototype is validated, it is handed over to established Centres of Excellence and hub structures for full-scale rollout, allowing you to return to the frontier and explore the next opportunity. In a business rich in structured data, mature processes and a strong digital backbone, you’ll combine curiosity, hands-on coding and business acumen to future-proof
Aspia and raise the industry bar for AI-driven business-process outsourcing.
Key responsibilities include:
•Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, clean, transform
and load both structured and unstructured sources into analytics-ready
formats.
•Prepare training datasets and feature stores so data scientists can iterate
quickly on ML and GenAI experiments.
•Prototype AI-driven solutions with close business input, run limited-scale
tests and capture KPIs such as time saved, cost reduced and quality improved.
•Implement data quality, lineage and governance controls to guarantee
trustworthy, compliant datasets.
•Automate deployment and orchestration of pipelines with tools like Airflow,
dbt or cloud-native services, embedding monitoring and alerting from day
one.
•Work side-by-side with software engineers and Centres of Excellence to
transition validated prototypes into scalable, production-grade solutions.
•Stay current on emerging data-engineering and GenAI tooling, drive internal
hackathons and share best practices across the AI Next team.
Your Profile
You are a pragmatic data engineer with 2–4 years’ experience turning raw, highvolume data into reliable, analytics-ready assets. Comfortable juggling SQL warehouses, streaming logs and blob storage, you design resilient pipelines in Python, SQL or Spark, version them in Git and instrument robust monitoring from day one. You treat cloud services, IaC and container orchestration as standard practice, automating workflows with Airflow or dbt and documenting lineage for full transparency. Curious about AI, you collaborate with data scientists to
provision feature stores and iterate on GenAI prototypes, quickly moving proof-of-concepts toward scalable solutions. Combining engineering rigor with business awareness, you thrive in a fast-moving team where clean data and efficient architecture unlock the next wave of AI innovation at Aspia.
