Candidate Assessment

Candidate Assessment

We know how to find the right person for your assignment. We know this from experience, based on many successful assessments and recruitments. When we assess a person's qualifications, we do so using unique tools and a methodology designed for Swedish conditions and the Swedish job market."

Assessing a person’s skills and qualifications relies to a small extent on reading the CV; more importantly, it is based on our expertise in behavioral science, our experience, and social sensitivity. Equally important is what others think. Therefore, we are very thorough in collecting references and checking the prospective candidates to the extent possible. We always conduct in-depth interviews with the applicants, and we offer comprehensive personality and qualification tests.

We are certified to work with a unique Swedish test instrument, UPP, adapted to Swedish culture and values. The test was developed by Professor Lennart Sjöberg at the School of Business and measures a wide range of personal and work-related abilities with scientific reliability, from work ethic to emotional competence, creativity, adaptability to change, and many other qualities. In summary, our in-depth interviews, reference checks, and tests provide us with a very good understanding of the prospective candidates.

UPP, Understanding Personal Potential

UPP is a work psychology test developed by Professor Lennart Sjöberg at the Stockholm School of Economics. It consists of 232 tasks and takes approximately 30-40 minutes to complete. All test tasks are newly written and adapted to Swedish culture and language. The test includes both self-report tasks and performance tasks (related to emotional intelligence). All scales are measured reliably and have been conceptually and empirically validated against work-related dimensions. It is very difficult to “cheat” on this test, as the tendency to present oneself in an overly positive light is eliminated through psychometric methodology. The test has been reviewed and approved by STP, the Foundation for Applied Psychology. For more information, please visit www.psykologisk-metod.se.

  • It is the only modern and comprehensive personality test developed in Sweden and tailored from the beginning to Swedish culture and values.
  • Effects of socially desirable responding are reduced by 90-95%. It is very difficult to deceive this test, which can be easily done with traditional self-report tests, as traditional methods for handling socially desirable responding have proven to be ineffective.
  • Through the use of new, focused scales in addition to the Big Five, dramatically stronger correlations with work-related attitudes and motivation are achieved.
  • The test measures emotional intelligence and social competence. It also assesses the individual’s experience of their current work situation and their attitude toward work.
